Project4 Open Beta 4 has arrived, and it comes with an army of updates :D

Theres some pretty big changes to this, the main ones being a new config setup, music streaming, some new modules, a super speeded installer (< 20 seconds guys), the entire list of updates is available here along with some screenshots.

This update is hopefully the last "beta" stage release, next month (24th April) I hope to have Project4 Offical Release 1 going, which will have the obvious bugfixes, and some other pretty big updates one of which is an extended file loading system where the user defines which apps open which files (like iRShell).

In the next couple of days I'm applying to a few programming jobs around the country, with Project4 being my main application I'm looking to get some constructive feedback, and hopefully a large download count ;)

I'm leaving this thread open for comments, but anyone flaming Project4 and saying its useless will have their posts removed, I've noticed a lot of people complaining about Project4, the simple fact is, if you don't like it you don't have to use it, its designed so that the people who are interested in customising their PSP as much as possible, or those who just want to utilize their PSP to do certain tasks faster, can. Its not, and never will be aimed as a replacement for iRShell. Constructive criticism is of course welcome.

I'm also (rather cheekily) asking for donations to help towards my holiday in June, I'm planning on backpacking in Scotland after I finish college, and could do with some help towards equipment, any donations, however large or small are more than welcome. Anyone who donates will be mentioned in the first offical releases pdf readme, and in the about menu :o

As always read the installation notes, these are extreamly important, and could mean the difference between a PSP and a paperweight (theres also some notes as to why Open Beta 1 caused lots of bricks, supprise supprise it was lack of readme reading).

Alternative Download Link (Sendspace)
Donation Link (through PayPal)
Trip Plans (for those who want to see where their money will be going)

The same likelyhood any other application has of bricking. As long as you follow the instructions, and make sure you have enough free space you should be safe. I have to admit, the past installers were badly coded, as I had to do 3 different ones, this one however is an installer all on its own so I've had plenty of time to concentrate on this one alone, making it much more stable and safe.

You'll have to use the recovery menu for using the usb :D
The music player isn't working very good on my psp :(
After I've played a song I have to restart or else it's saying "this song is already playing" in sony xmb style :P
I't doesn't bother me that much :P It's quite fast :D
I looked like half an hour at the awesome screensaver :)
I'm really looking forward for the official release :D
