I've fixed a bug that affected some people and not others, when the installation ran the versioncheck failed, this hopefully fixes any current issues.

Hi all, Project4 is finally here!

This release comes with a few bugs which I've decided to not get rid of (by doing so I would have delayed Project4), all the known bugs are documented in the readme, so take a look.

The uploaded file contains the Project4 installer, and 3 modules (p4iX.prx, p4i5.prx and p4il.prx) these are required by the installer.

All current custom firmwares 3.10 and above are supported currently by a custom patch, or the "Dirty Hack", when/if 3.80M33 is released I'll work on another patch if its needed, otherwise I'll just allow the installer to use the "Dirty Hack" too if its supported.

The readme is very in depth, it states the procedure for installation, and un-installation, as well as numerous other things, I'd suggest you read it to get a feeling for what is happening, it also gives directions on themes and other things.

The current functions are:

This has been tested and is working on the Slim PSP as it should be!

Remember to give something back to Project4 and make a theme if you can, it'd be nice to have some choices about the theme :mrgreen:

BTW a suggestion for future release, instead of having the people choose, which option to choose from, why not make a FW reader so that it detects which firmware they are under a prevent them from screwing up and coming down on you for it. Shouldn't be too difficult, like reading from the file flash0:/vsh/etc/version.txt which I dont see why anyone would spoof it, but if they did then theres alternatives... but anyways this was just a suggestion. Great Job on the release again.

I have set the code up to read that file, and the code DOES select which firmware to install for, but it gives the option of which installer to use, the Universal is exactly that, universal, it will work on all current versions. I've added this incase for whatever reason the normal patch doesn't work, or has conflicts with something else.

Well I dont know if this has been added or not but does it check that it your not a FW higher then 3.10 then it kicks you out or something...

hey um i have 3.71 M33-4

and when i run the installer through 3.71 kernel it says versioncheck failed.

Any solutions?

Yep, I doubt anyone uses anything under 3.10, but I'm aware that PSPLock didn't work in 3.03, and I'm not willing to be the cause of some nasty semi bricks if avoidable.

How did you get this error? Did you make sure you had enough free space in flash0?

Anyway, you can use the recovery to reflash the firmware, or use a Pandora... if you have a backup of your flash you could also paste the content of the MODULE (3.60+) back to flash, although I have been told this may have ill effects such as misplaced icons.

yeah i made sure everything was ok... i waited till the end.. then it gave me that error... it wouldent let me restart my psp after that... so i restarted manual and it bricked it.. first time brick.. no i dont have a pandora or any of that... how do i make one??? or is there any other way?

wait.. i just tryed to go into recovery mode and it works.. can i format flash 1 and reset settings??? or make a pandora through recovery mode?

reflahing 1 reset settings dident work.

i cant toggle recovery anymore it stoped working.. what the hell??? anyone know how ro make a pandora with out toggling usb??? hahaha!!!
